About Us

Big Island Burrito—better known as “The B.I.B” to locals—was started over 20 years ago by brothers Tim and Mark Philips. Known for it’s laid back atmosphere and quality beach food, Big Island Burrito is host to people from all walks of life. On any given day you might find families looking for a quick bite, surfers fueling up after a day of swell-seeking, or just passersby wanting a great meal. 

After running the restaurant for almost two decades, it was time to lay down the chef’s knife and call it a career. Enter James and Charles Coulter—another pair of brothers who have a passion for great food and casual dining. The Coulter Brothers have carried on the same mom-and-pop traditions that were originally established by Tim and Mark.
